Beliefs
Hope And Trust Ministries

  • 1 We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors.
  • 2 We believe in One God, creator of all, Holy, Sovereign, and Eternal, existing in three equal persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
  • 3 We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit.
  • 4 We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ.
  • 5 We believe that God specially created Adam after His own image in knowledge (Genesis 1:26 – 27) and holiness, to enjoy perfect fellowship and communion with Him.
  • 6 We believe that none but those who exercise repentance from sin and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and confessed of His Lordship shall be saved, and that salvation is by the sovereign grace of God.
  • 7 We believe in the personal existence of Satan as one who is totally evil and who is the originator of sin, and is the archenemy of God and man.
  • 8 We believe in water baptism by immersion (Identifying with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection) for those who have repented, believed in and confessed Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • 9 We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues, in the gifts of the Spirit and the fruit of the Spirit.
  • 10 We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church: baptism and the Lord's Supper.
  • 11 We believe that Christians should live for the glory of God and the well-being of others; that their conduct should be blameless before the world.
  • 12 We believe in the dedication of little children as observed in the Scriptures.
  • 13 We believe that divine healing is obtained on the basis of Atonement (1 Peter 2:24).
  • 14 We believe in the personal, bodily and premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • 15 We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – those who are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and those who are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment.
